Developed by Silverstein Properties, and designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern, the art deco inspired Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown presents a classic approach to big city accommodations. The hotel soars over the area as one of the tallest residential towers in the city. The first 24 floors contain 189 luxurious hotel rooms and suites, a number of which include balconies that look out over the vibrant city below, while the remainder of the tower is taken up by residential space. The interior of the hotel was conceived by Canadian design company Yabu Pushelberg and features an elegant, modern design of rich wood surfaces and gorgeous marble bathrooms.
The hotel uses technology to its benefit. Guests will find a tablet inside their room, ready to order whatever you may need from the Four Seasons’ 24 hour room service menu. Staff at the hotel use Apple watches to coordinate their service. There are even televisions embedded in the bathroom mirrors..
The spa and fitness centre is a cut above. Just like every other aspect of the hotel, the spa blends high-tech with natural luxury in the seven treatment rooms. A view of the Oculus and the World Trade Center from the 6,000 square foot fitness centre is hard to resist — as is the 75 foot, naturally-lit lap pool.
The hotel also hosts celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck’s first Manhattan restaurant. CUT is located inside the Four Seasons, and offers a striking atmosphere with a fusion-filled menu. The restaurant is intended to attract both Wall Street regulars and tourists taking a break from exploring the Big Apple.
The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is right in the middle of some of the most attractive destinations in Manhattan: one block away, visitors will be able to take in all of the sights and experiences created by the World Trade Center; the Waterfront offers a wonderful destination, including the many statues and park greens of Battery Park; and stretching between 10th and 12th Avenues, the nearby High Line gives guests at the Four Seasons a chance to explore a one-of-a-kind park, rising above the city itself.
