As we get closer to those lazy-crazy-hazy-days of summer, chances are you’ll be hosting a party sooner or later. If you’re fretting about what to serve, fear not: the above series of videos will take all the stress out of what to do.
The video series features three easy steps: start out with an awesome burger, serve some fun drinks and make some patriotic snacks.
The “grilled everything burger” is made with chuck and brisket and is served with a variety of vegetables and cheeses. Watch the video to quickly see the burger assemble before your very eyes and then check out the description for the full recipe.
With your food foundation established, next you can move onto your drinks. There are a variety of “summery” drinks you can make, but the next video focuses on the classic pina colada. All it takes is some golden rum, pineapple juice, cream of coconut and some ice. Put it in a blender and you’re good to go.
Finally, a recipe especially good for the Fourth of July but appropriate for any summer celebration: firecracker cakes, The video makes red, white and blue firecrackers but you can easily adapt the recipe to any colour you wish. First you bake three simple cakes, and then you dip them in a simple syrup and coat them in sugar. And if that isn’t sweet enough, the firecracker cakes will truly pop once you make a hole in them with a jumbo straw and fill them with Pop Rocks. The firecrackers may not spark up in real life, but they’ll feel like an explosion in your mouth.
