It was confirmed by ABC News Dayton, Ohio affiliate WKEF-22 on Friday that the woman killed in a car crash New Year's Day was Tasha Thomas, the girlfriend of John Crawford III, the man shot and killed by police at the Beavercreek Walmart.
Thomas, age 26, of Fairborn, was a passenger in a car being driven by 30-year-old Frederick Bailey of Dayton. According to police, the car crashed into a pole on North Broadway Street about 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, and then overturned.
