The Amsterdam, New York-based company was notified by a consumer that found a small piece of glass in a 4-ounce jar of their Classic Sweet Potato & Chicken product. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
Based on the recall notice from FSIS, the baby food was produced on December 12, 2014, and bears the establishment number “P-68A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The product expires on DEC2016, and includes the product numbers “12395750815” through “12395750821.” The baby food was shipped to retailers nationwide.
There was a report of an oral injury associated with the one consumer complaint. The FSIS has not received any further complaints on the product, but anyone with concerns over an injury or illness should contact their health care provider immediately.
