Featuring fellow West Coast recording artist SB Tone 4One8, “Act Up” rivals the controversial music dominating popular culture by instead expressing a positive message through its lyrics. Serving as a powerful tool to inspire social change among today’s youth, Jaae Kash’s piece of musical art will capture the listener with traditional L.A.-style sounds but will then redirect their emotions with a solidarity-driven message.
“People are influenced by what they see and hear which ultimately drives their actions,” said Kash. “This is exampled by music’s crucial role during the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s when Freedom songs inspired participation and organized communities.
