Qoreboard Helps Boost Productivity at Home During a Pandemic

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we know most companies are dealing with the issues that come with keeping their employees healthy and safe.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we know most companies are dealing with the issues that come with keeping their employees healthy and safe. Millions of people make the transition from an office setting to working from home. As you make this transition, it’s important to know how to set yourself up for success, and QOREBOARD® is here to help!

5 Healthy Habit to Keep You Motivated at Home

  1. Create a designated work space- Decide where you’d like to set up a make-shift office. If you have a home office, that’s a great place to start! If you don’t, think about spaces in your home without potential distractions. Decide what attributes of an office are important to you. Are you close to the tools you might need to access (like a printer, outlets, etc.)? Move some furniture around! Pick a comfy chair and a nice sized table, and get to work in your new designated “office”.

  2. Keep away from distractions- Working from home means you know your boss isn’t going to pop by unannounced and see how you’re doing. This lack of supervision can make it easy to get distracted. However, having your favorite Netflix show playing in the background isn’t going to help you work. Whether it’s Netflix, Facebook, or even your children make sure you keep distractions at bay as much as possible.

  3. Keep a routine- It’s easy to get side tracked at home, especially with other people in the house. While you’re in the middle of a project, someone might ask you to take out the trash, or put the dishes away. Make sure your household knows that just because you’re home doesn’t mean you’re available. Set specific office hours and stick to them. This will help you stay on track as you work, and it informs your household of your boundaries.

  4. Take a break- Not many of us work straight through the day. We have bathroom breaks, social visits with coworkers, coffee breaks, etc. To prove that working from home is productive, employees take fewer breaks. Though this might prove successful for a few days, in the long run you’re going to need those breaks to keep you motivated. Give yourself goals to accomplish before taking a break. This way, you can stay on track and feel good about the breaks you take! QOREBOARD’s Microgoals™ are a great and easy way to do this.

  5. Set yourself up for success with QOREBOARD® – QOREBOARD® has all the tools you will need for successfully working from home! Microgoals™ keep you on track and give you the chance to win multiple times a day, and Microadjustments™ let you know how you’re doing without the need to meet with a supervisor. Feel successful no matter where you are! With QOREBOARD you can prove to everyone that you’re just as productive at home as you are in the office!
