Her forthcoming holiday project will consist of 13 traditional and contemporary classic tunes. This past summer, McLachlan was out on tour with Grammy-nominated vocalist Josh Groban. For McLachlan, this album was a “joy” to make since she enjoys everything about Christmas.
This marks her first holiday album since her critically-acclaimed Wintersong, which came out in 2006. McLachlan recorded this studio effort last winter in Montreal and Vancouver, and she collaborated on this project with long-time producer Pierre Marchand.
Wonderland includes such classics as “Silver Bells,” “Angels We Have Heard On High,” “Snow,” as well as “Go Tell It On The Mountain”, where she collaborates with Country Music Hall of Famer Emmylou Harris, and “Away In A Manager,” among others.
Throughout her career in the music scene, McLachlan has sold in excess of 40 million albums worldwide; moreover, in 2002, she founded her charitable organization, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which provides top quality music instruction at no cost, in a safe and nurturing environment, for at-risk and under-served children who otherwise would have no access to music programming.
