Review: VASSY back with refreshing music video for ‘Nothing to Lose’ (Includes first-hand account)

A Greek-Australian songstress, VASSY is not afraid of taking risks with her music and she is constantly reinventing herself with every musical project. The risk has proved to pay off with “Nothing to Lose.” It has colorful chords, neat synths and sultry vocals, which make it the quintessential dance-floor anthem.

Director Athena Maroulis did a solid job on the music video’s direction. “Nothing to Lose” is available on iTunes and on Beatport.

The Verdict

Overall, VASSY’s vocals on “Nothing to Lose” are sassy, vivacious and a great deal of fun. It is no wonder that all the biggest DJs and producers in the electronic music world (such as Benny Benassi, Tiesto and David Guetta) want to collaborate with this singing sensation. “Nothing to Lose” and its music video garner an A rating.

Digital Journal sat down and chatted with VASSY prior to her show at Electric Zoo: Wild Island in New York.
