“Primadonna Like Me,” which has a retro vibe to it, follows the release of their latest radio single “Body Talks.” It instantly sustains the listener’s attention from the first verse.
The Struts’ lead singer Luke Spiller noted that the song “Primadonna Like Me” was written about his “stage character” and “alter ego.” It is full of energy and a great deal of fun. This song, in particular, resonated well with the New York audience when they performed it live at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh on Long Island when they opened for Foo Fighters on their “Concrete and Gold” Tour.
“Primadonna Like Me” is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
On October 2 and 3, The Struts will be performing concerts at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, as part of “The Body Talks” Tour. Both of their New York shows are sold-out.
The Verdict
Overall, The Struts prove that they can do no wrong with any new songs they put out. “Primadonna Like Me” is another well-crafted, rocking tune. It garners an A rating. Well done.
