Review: Tegan Marie charms on new country single ‘Keep It Lit’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Keep It Lit” is the quintessential tune to kick off the New Year. It is upbeat, liberating and an anthem of joy and hope. Tegan Marie showcases her bubbly personality on the song, and it has a youthful vibe to it.

Veronica Zelle served as the director for the song’s stunning music video, which was subsequently produced by Sweety High Entertainment.

On January 31, 2018, Tegan Marie will be performing at The Studio at Opry City Stage in Manhattan, which is home for country music and culture in Times Square.

The Verdict

Overall, Tegan Marie delights on her refreshing new country single “Keep It Lit.” Her lilting vocals are reminiscent of a young Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks, and that ought to be taken as a compliment. She is the future of country music, and poised to become the next big female star in the genre. “Keep it Lit” garners an A rating.
