Review: Max Frost proves to be ‘golden’ on new studio album ‘Gold Rush’ (Includes first-hand account)

It opens with the nonchalant and mellow “New Confessional,” and it is followed by his upbeat and catchy single “Good Morning.”

Other eclectic songs on this project include “Money Problems,” the infectious “Put It On Me,” and “Slow Jamz,” featuring Frost’s velvet vocals.

After the funky “Anxious,” the 10-track CD closes with the soothing ballad “Stranger To Me Now,” as well as the expressive “Sometimes.”

Gold Rush is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, Max Frost soars on his Gold Rush album. He showcases his wide range as a contemporary recording artist. Each of the songs has their own identity, which makes it hard to pick a favorite track. This collection garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
