Review: Gryffin captivates on new music video for ‘Tie Me Down’ (Includes first-hand account)

This music video was directed by Drew Kirsch and Jordan Rosenheck, and they have both done a solid job. What makes it stand out is that they use real people to express their love, and it has a universal message of acceptance and love, which will resonate well with their fans and listeners.

While the song was already compelling as is, the music video brings a more different and deeper dimension to the song, and it makes it far more meaningful and relatable.

“Tie Me Down” was well-received at Electric Zoo this past Sunday, September 2, when he performed live it at the Hilltop Arena, in his one-hour set, on the third and final day of the electronic music festival in New York. The track is available on iTunes, and on Spotify.

The song has been met with critical acclaim. It sits at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic charts, and climbing. It also hit No. 2 on the Spotify U.S. Viral Chart and No. 6 on the Global Viral Chart.

The Verdict

Overall, Gryffin proves that he is one of electronic music’s most underrated musicians and producers. His new music video for “Tie Me Down” garners an A rating. His future in the genre should be very bright and promising. Well done.
