Review: Eddy Mann charms on new single ‘Something Beautiful and New’ (Includes first-hand account)

The song is a track on his forthcoming studio Christian album, Re: Prize, which is a collection of original worship tunes. It will be released on September 6 on his independent record label, and it is available for pre-order on Amazon.

“I know my path’s not always straight, I wander on my own,” Mann sings, in his crystalline voice, and then female harmony vocals kick in, which help elevate the song to a higher level. This tune ought to be enjoyed for its simplicity and beauty, and Mann is able to connect well with his fans and listeners.

In the song’s music video for “Something Beautiful and New,” Mann is sitting criss-cross, strumming his acoustic guitar, surrounded by candles lit on the floor.

Mann has been a worship leader for the past 15 years, and it was 20 years ago that he decided to go in this direction. Ever since, he has released seven albums and written numerous songs for the church. He performs regulars in intimate coffeehouse sets, concert events, conferences, and worship services.

The Verdict

Overall, Eddy Mann has does a pleasant job on his new single, the inspirational “Something Beautiful and New.” It garners an A- rating.
