It was released on August 5 via their record label, Curb Records. American Young opens on a soft note with the gentle “Be Here” and they showcase their superb harmonies on “American Dream.” The ballad “Love Is War” is filled with raw yet contradictory emotions. They pick up the pace of the record with the mid-tempo and witty “Point Of View.”
“Party In The Dark” features Kristy Osmunson’s gorgeous voice, and Jon Stone delivers on harmony. “Better On You” is upbeat and infectious, and a perfect fit for country radio.
Country star Lee Brice joins American Young on backing vocals on “Eighteen.” “God Sends A Train” is hypnotic, which includes Kristy’s whistling voice. “Slow Ride” is more soothing, while “Soldier’s Wife (Don’t Want You To Go)” is yet another emotional performance by the country duo that hugs at the heart. Their self-titled CD closes with “Hometown Girl” and the acoustic-driven “Something To You.”
