By Markos Papadatos     Dec 29, 2016 in Music
In the New York music scene, 2016 was a great year for cover bands and tribute shows. These are the five greatest acts that stand out.
Big Shot: Mike DelGuidice and Big Shot have paid homage to Billy Joel's music for over 15 years on Long Island. They are playing sold-out shows in venues all over New York, and rightfully so.

Blink 180 TRUE: When it comes to Blink-182 music, there is only one tribute band: Blink 180 TRUE. All three members look and sound like Blink-182, and they know how to put on a solid rock show with all of the Blink classics.

Larger Than Life: Edvin, Chris, Toly and Devin from Larger Than Life are able to pay tributes to some of the biggest boy bands of our time, including Backstreet Boys, N SYNC, 98 Degrees, New Kids on the Block, The Temptations, Boyz II Men, and even such contemporaries as One Direction.

The 90's Band: There is no better way to spend a 90's night than with The 90's Band at Mulcahy's, where they tip their hats to such classic artists as Oasis, Green Day, No Doubt, Chumbawamba, and The Cranberries, among others.

Zac Brown Tribute Band: Zac Brown's music has never sounded as close to the original as it does with Rochester's Zac Brown Tribute Band. All of their musicians are exceptional on instruments and vocals.
