MOTi talks electronic music, Martin Garrix and new single ‘SAY!’ (Includes interview)

“It feels good to be back in New York again,” he said, prior to sharing that he loves electronic music since it “brings people together, and it’s fun.”

His new single “SAY!” will be available tomorrow, June 23, on Intersteller. “I’m working on an album, so I want to release an album next year. Right now, I’m releasing singles one by one,” he said.

Thanks to the success of “Virus,” his collaboration with electronic sensation Martin Garrix, MOTi’s popularity expanded exponentially, and rightfully so. “That was a good one. It gave me a lot of fans, and a lot of shows. It was great to work with Martin,” he said.

Throughout his career, he collaborated with Tiësto, Major Lazer, Martin Garrix and Ty Dolla $ign. “I was very fortunate to work with all these people. It’s a good thing, since you get to learn from each other, and you try to elevate your music to another level. It’s good to work with people that are so experienced since they can really help you out,” he said.

Each day, MOTi is motivated by his love for music, and his live shows. “Whenever I’m losing inspiration, I do a show in between the studio sessions, and I get energy from the crowd again, and then the next week, I’m motivated to create new music again,” he explained.

He listed Dua Lipa as his dream female collaboration choice. “Dua Lipa is doing really, really well right now,” he said.

MOTi defined the word success as follows: “Success is being happy in life. I think that’s more important than money,” he said.
