Interview: The Lacs talk new studio album ‘American Rebelution’ (Includes interview)

On the song selection process for their new CD American Rebelution, they said, “Well, we recorded about 20 songs total. We had to sit together and pick what we thought were the best 12 to put on the album.”

Their favorite song on the new CD is the track “Redneck As Me” due to its “cool story-line,” as well as its “great chorus.” They collaborated with Montgomery Gentry on the song “Jack In My Coke.” “We can only describe it as a dream come true. These guys are legends,” they said.

Most impressive about The Lacs is that they passed 500 million streams on Pandora. “I can’t even believe it. I never thought we’d ever be able to achieve something like that. I’m so grateful,” they said.

The Lacs plan to tour quite extensively, in an effort to bring the new music to their loyal fans. “We wouldn’t be anywhere without them. We”ll definitely be making more music, too,” they said.

Each day, The Lacs are motivated by their fans, which they dubbed as “the greatest fans in the world.” “They keep us down to earth, humble and driven everyday. We do this for our fans,” they said, prior to listing Hank Williams Jr. as their dream collaboration choice in music.

For their fans, they concluded, “Thank y’all so much for supporting us and making us what we are today. Y’all are awesome!” The Lacs also took the time to express their gratitude for their hard-working publicists, Claire Cook and Kristin Palmer. “It’s great. They make shit happen.”

American Rebelution is available on iTunes.
