Former Flyleaf vocalist Lacey Sturm talks new book ‘The Mystery’ (Includes interview)

Her second book The Mystery: Finding True Love In A World Of Broken Lovers was released on October 4. In The Mystery, Sturm reveals raw and honest personal stories, where she offers hope to readers through her battle with depression and thoughts of suicide, to giving guidance on love and relationship advice. Sturm shows her readers why true love is difficult and often painful but still worth it. “I did another book,” she said, with a sweet laugh. “I went through some pretty crappy times. Just making bad choices, and not realizing they were bad, until everything started falling apart. When I barely made it out of that situation, I was so shaken up by realizing that I can deceive myself and push everybody out of my life, and really walk through the healing process, which helped me a lot,” she added.

Sturm continued, “Many years later, I realized that maybe that would help other people that are going through similar things, and I just wanted to see if I could help somebody avoid or heal from all that hurt.”

On her future plans, she said, “We are always writing, so we definitely have material. We are taking it one day at a time right now, and we are seeing more opportunities and doors are opening, and we are walking through them as they come. Soon, we will have more music.”

For her fans, she concluded, “I think my biggest hope for The Mystery is that if you’ve lost hope in love itself, you can come away from the book and feel a little bit more healed, and to give and receive love, and to have hope for that.”
