Exclusive premiere: ‘She Wrecked This Town’ by Chance McKinney (Includes interview)

McKinney noted that his new song “She Wrecked This Town” is the epitome of “industrialized country.” “We are not just in the business of putting out great songs nowadays,” he said, prior to adding that “we are fighting to give the listener an experience,” and rightfully so.

The country musician remarked, “‘She Wrecked This Town’ will grab you from the get-go, pull you in, paint the picture, and rip your heart out. It’s just what we do.”

He continued, “For every feel good song out there, there has to be a gut-wrenching, real-life, relatable song to counter the balance. I knew the first time I heard it, they were talking about me.”

McKinney is originally from the town of Lolo, Montana. “If it even shows up on a map I would be surprised at this point,” he joked. “I knew what it was like to have one’s entire existence tainted by love gone wrong.” He also acknowledged the fact that women need to understand that men sometimes cannot separate love from life, and that is basically the message of the song “She Wrecked This Town.”

His new country EP I is available for pre-order on iTunes.
