On the idea for “Good Time Good Life,” Bowman said, “The co-writers and I were just talking about writing something that made people happy: a feel-good song about being worry-free for a few minutes, and having fun and calling it a day, and that’s exactly what we came up with.”
Bowman performed the song at this year’s Radio Disney Music Awards, which was quite the thrill.”That was one of the best days of my life from start to finish. It was amazing. I was so happy to be invited to perform there,” she said.
On her future plans, she said, “More live performances and working on a bunch of new music. I’m actually moving out to Los Angeles from New Jersey, so my life will be a little wacky in the next few months, but I’m excited. I want write good songs that people are into, and hope it works out.”
She joked that coming from New Jersey, she will miss having gasoline bumped when she moves to California. “Don’t remind me. Every time I go to LA to visit and pull up to a gas station, I’m like ‘oh my gosh I have to go out.’ I really don’t like that,” she said with a sweet laugh. “There is going to be an adjustment period for sure.”
The songstress listed Justin Bieber and Eminem as her dream male collaboration choices. “I love Justin Bieber, and I’ve had Bieber fever for years. He’s good and has good music and he’s a great performer. That’s a dream collaboration right there,” she said. “Eminem is another one I would love to do a song with. He has always been one of my favorites. My brother was very much into him and bought his album. Eminem is just inspiring.”
“Good Time Good Life” is available on iTunes.
