Dustin Lynch discusses social media, fans and success (Includes interview)

When asked to reflect on the past six years, Lynch said, “Looking back, I see a guy that should have just chilled out, and should have trusted himself and should have trusted timing. I see a guy that has gotten better at trusting himself and a guy that has figured out how to enjoy the present moment, and not worry about losing the grip of success. Now, I am comfortable, I am able to live in the moment and I’m able to enjoy what this lifestyle brings. I’m enjoying the travel and I’m enjoying myself on stage. Because I’m living in the moment, my shows have gotten much better, and I’m soaking it in. I’m just having fun, and our connection with the crowd has gotten better because of that.”

Lynch stays connected with his fans via his social networks. “I’m constantly on social media. We’re trying to do a recap of shows every now and then. For me, it’s all about looking about what they are posting, and commenting on what they post. That’s what’s fun.”

This year, Lynch defined the word success as “being okay with where you’re at in the present moment.” “Being able to soak that in and smile about it,” he said, effusively.

For his loyal country fans and listeners, he concluded, “Thank you so much. I invite everyone to check out this new album. I’m so proud of it. It’s completely different than anything we’ve done before. I invite everyone to come out to a show and make a memory with us. It’s a big party, so wear your dancing shoes.”
