Bass Drum of Death announce upcoming album ‘Just Business’

Bass Drum of Death is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and musician John Barrett. Their forthcoming studio album will be released worldwide on July 27, 2018 on Red Music, and it will be available in digital formats, as well as vinyl.

John Barrett noted that there is a certain kind of trouble that you are able to get into in New York that you cannot get in anywhere else. He added that for years, he has been known as the “Garage Rock Guy,” and he feels that this album showcases how much of a better vocalist and songwriter he has grown and developed to be. “You can actually hear what I am singing,” Barrett exclaimed.

In anticipation of their upcoming album, Bass Drum of Death just released a music video for the song “Heavy,” which was directed by Mike Bennett. This video is based on the true story of unspoken violent events that took place along the American and Mexican border. They felt compelled to make this story as a key part to the visual treatment for “Heavy.”

Just Business will be comprised of the following songs: “Third Coast Dreaming,” “Too High,” “Diamond in the Rough,” “Failing Up,” “Heavy,” “I Don’t Wanna Know,” “Odds Are Good,” the title track “Just Business,” “I Love You (I Think),” “I Thought I Told You,” as well as the closing tune “Leaving.”

The album Just Business is available for pre-order on iTunes.
