Glock confirms it will unveil new product on March 20th

Earlier this week, Digital Journal reported on a teaser image which was released on Glock’s Facebook page. The image was very vague but it seemed to indicate that Glock would be coming out with some sort of new product this spring. Sure enough, the company has confirmed via Facebook and its website that a new gun is in the works. No details have been released just yet but according to Glock, the new gun will be unveiled via a live event on March 20.

The original teaser ad for the new gun was posted to Facebook on March 6. The image showed a small recoil spring assembly against a black background and simply read, “This Spring.” Following quite a bit of hype surrounding that image, Glock released yet another teaser ad this Wednesday. The new ad actually shows the top of a gun (presumed to be the new model) and reads “Spring 2015” along with the slogan “Confidence fits every lifestyle.”

Along with the latest teaser ad, Glock released a link to a live streaming event. The event, according to Glock’s website, will be broadcast live from Glock’s US headquarters and will take place on March 20 at 9:00 AM Pacific time. This is when Glock says they will unveil their new product. They’re encouraging everyone to sign up in order to get their “personal invite” to the live event.

If the new product is, in fact, an entirely new model, it will likely be the model 43, which is the next model number in the Glock lineup. While there isn’t a whole lot of confirmed information about the new gun, there is quite a bit of speculation about what it might be. Most believe it will be the much anticipated single stack 9mm, which customers have been urging Glock to produce for years.
