7-Eleven, which made the announcement about the packs on Sept. 1, announced that the company and DoorDash were partnering up to offer on-demand delivery from participating 7-Eleven stores in five major metropolitan markets in the United States. Those markets include Chicago, New York and Los Angeles — eventually, the delivery services will be available in Washington, D.C. and Boston.
DoorDash’s partnership with 7-Eleven is its first outside of restaurant delivery. This brings the company a step closer to its goal of offering on-demand delivery service across all types of local businesses.
The vice president of innovation and omnichannel strategy at 7-Eleven, Raja Doddala, said the company’s packs aim to redefine convenience.
