Grand and Lieb co-wrote the piano-driven ballad themselves, and it conveys a wide spectrum of raw emotions. It is melancholic yet beautiful at the same time. They are not afraid to showcase their vulnerability as recording artists, and their lyrics are heartfelt and sincere. Their strong vocals are reminiscent of A Great Big World’s “Say Something.”
“I’ll never touch your body again, we gave it our all, but this is the end, so we say that we tried, watching you fade, I know it’s goodbye,” they sing.
The Verdict
Overall, Steve Grand and Eli Lieb are exceptional on their haunting music video for “Look Away.” It will certainly send chills down their listeners’ spines. “Look Away” earns 5 out of 5 stars.
