Review: Rita Ora and Chris Brown delight on new ‘Body On Me’ single (Includes first-hand account)

Ora and Brown co-penned the song themselves, with a team of songwriters. It is extremely radio-friendly, with a soothing yet sultry vibe to it. The single was released on Roc Nation/Columbia Records.

“Baby, let’s cut down the lights, I just really wanna let this fire burn bright, I’m just telling you to have an open mind, Just imagine us,” Ora sings.

On September 14, the songstress will be performing at Gramercy Theatre in New York City, where fans will get a chance to hear her new single live.

Aside from her musical endeavors, Ora recently began a career in acting. She earned a role in the Hollywood blockbuster Fifty Shades Of Grey and is co-starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Southpaw. She is also one of the judges on the reality singing competition, The X Factor, in the United Kingdom.

The Verdict

Overall, Rita Ora and Chris Brown delightful on “Body on Me.” It is certainly one of her songs since “I Will Never Let You Down.” She proves to be one of contemporary music’s most underrated female vocalists. “Body On Me” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
