Review: Magic! charms on new radio single ‘No Way No’ (Includes first-hand account)

This is the follow-up to their multi-week No. 1 hit single “Rude.” “No Way No” has a laid-back, retro and funk vibe to it, which is contagious. It was co-written by all four members of the quartet, and it is available on their Don’t Kill the Magic album, which was released on their label, Sony Music Entertainment.

“Telling you it’s dark when you see the light, And I know you ain’t foolish, foolish, Just give me one chance I could treat you right,” Nasri sings.

Nasri yet again nails the lead vocals on “No Way No,” and his fellow band-mates (Alex, Mark and Ben) deliver as a whole. “No Way No” is even more impressive live, such as at their recent performance at The Paramount in Huntington on Long Island.

The Verdict

Magic! soars on their latest single “No Way No,” and it ought to fare well on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Their sound is unique yet compelling, and they possess the ability to calm their listeners. It earns 4.5 out of 5 stars.
