Review: Kris Allen captivates on new studio album ‘Letting You In’ (Includes first-hand account)

Allen’s new album opens with the laid-back and mellow “Love Will Find You,” and it is followed by the mid-tempo and captivating “Time Will Come,” where his voice is as smooth as silk.

His debut single from the album, “Waves” is a beautiful love ballad, which Digital Journal described as “ethereal.” Allen picks up the pace with the upbeat tune “Faster Shoes.”

“If We Keep Doing Nothing” is a slow-moving ballad, where he showcases his versatility as an artist. “Way Up High” is atmospheric, while “Feeling This Way” is a song that many of his listeners can relate to.

“Letting You In” is a gorgeous title track ballad, which is worthy of repeat button, and “Move” is instrumentally and lyrically powerful. His CD closes with on a bittersweet note with the poignant and tender ballad “I Remember You,” which ought to be enjoyed for its beauty and simplicity.
