As Digital Journal reported, the lead-off single “Reckless” is an empowering collaboration with Wayward Daughter. Alex & Sierra from The X Factor USA make a cameo on the youthful and liberating “We Were Young.” The optimistic “Make It Happen” featuring Lawson is upbeat and fun.
Singer-songwriter London Thor shines on “Hands,” and equally catchy is “Lost,” featuring Janet Devlin. “Until We Meet Again” is a smash collaboration with Ben Gold. Emery is reunited with songstress Christina Novelli (“Concrete Angel” and “Dynamite”) on “Save Me,” which is bound to be another hit.
It closes with the delicate piano-driven power-ballad “I Could Be Stronger (But Only For You)” and the ethereal “Sansa,” which is slightly reminiscent of “Long Way Home” from his previous CD. “Cruiser” featuring Alex Sonata is included as a bonus track on this project.
The Verdict
Overall, Gareth Emery triumphs on this new album. Whoever enjoyed his previous release Drive, will be even more blown away with 100 Reasons to Live. The melodies and synths are infectious. It earns an A rating.
