Most impressive is the fact that Drew Chadwick is back with the group, so brothers Keaton and Wes Stromberg are now a trio again.
Chadwick opens the song “Hello” with his haunting vocals, and accompanies himself on acoustic guitar in their music video. Wes takes on the next verse and does it justice, as scenes of the trio together are displayed in the video. Keaton closes the song, as he showcases his rich yet deep and mature-sounding voice; moreover, their video’s cinematography, filmed in an elevated area, is visually striking.
The Verdict
Overall, Emblem3 delivers on their cover of Adele’s “Hello.” They are able to make this power-ballad their own, and their rendition is soothing and distinct. Chad, Wes and Keaton are not afraid to showcase their vulnerability as artists, and they are able to make a connection with their fans and listeners. Their version of “Hello” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
