Wantagh - On June 11, country singer Chase Bryant performed at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, opening for Tim McGraw on his "Shotgun Rider" tour.
Bryant shared the stage with fellow country singer Billy Currington, and he began his set with the mid-tempo and fun "Wayfarer Weather." "I would love to hear you scream, Jones Beach," Bryant said, midway through his song.
It was followed by "Whatcha Waitin' On." "How ya'll feeling down here?" he asked. "Ya'll doing all right?" Bryant subsequently paid homage to the U.S. military members overseas, for allowing him to play country music each night.
He continued with the ballad "Change Your Name," which was a tender vocal performance, as purple lights dimmed on the stage.
Bryant shared that his greatest musical influences include the late George Jones and Waylon Jennings, as well as "King" George Strait and Tim McGraw, the latter of which he is sharing the stage with tonight.
He immediately broke into his latest radio single, the upbeat and refreshing "Little Bit of You," which was pure ear candy. It deserves to become his next smash hit single on country radio.
Bryant closed his set with his Top 10 breakthrough single "Take It On Back," where he rocked the electric guitar, proving that he deserves to become the next Hunter Hayes in the genre. Ever-gracious, Bryant thanked country radio and his New York fans for their support.

The Verdict
Overall, Chase Bryant was excellent at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island. He was able to warm up the stage for McGraw, and he interacted well with the New York audience. He is worth seeing live whenever he is in the area. He ought to be the next big thing in country music, since he is a triple-threat in the genres: singer-songwriter and instrumentalist, and he is gifted in all of these talents. His mini-concert garnered an A rating.
