Review: Billboard Dance Chart parties with Awake in the Top 40

House music continues to stand up as a genre in demand in today’s music market in both the club circuit and radio airwaves. Walking into the front door of a dance club brings excitement and anticipation of hearing the DJ play your favorite songs during the ongoing playlist as more and more people arrive. In focus, Carrillo Music recording artist, Eddie Amador, has found his instincts once again to be in sync with current trends. His new release “Awake” is alive and well proving itself to be a serious contender as an all around house hit record. For Amador, it is a triumph for his position as a mainstay as a forward thinker with the musical intuition to test new formulas that feed the ever changing musical appetites of night club attendees and radio jocks. It is also a series of back to back successes for Amador with his recent Grammy nomination for his remix of Five Knives, “The Rising.”

Awake continues to move up this week in its position on the Billboard Official Dance Charts. Behind the drive is the musical collaboration between Eddie Amador and UK vocalist, Lisa Williams. In a recent interview, Amador expressed that he is thrilled about the response and that creating music is a fun process that always brings surprises. Williams also expressed her excitement and that it is humbling to watch “Awake” catch on as it continues to do so in clubs and radio stations around the world. With Amador’s progressive groove in the pocket moving the beat throughout the track and Williams crisp driving vocals on the hook the result is an effervescent house hit that represents the definition of refreshing synergy.

With five weeks on the charts, Awake is breaking records in its swift pace moving up the Billboard Dance Chart in the Top 40 from last week’s #27 position to this week’s #25 position.

Awake is catchy and resonates with fans and music lovers as a solid track to request a replay from the DJ when you feel like you want to dance.
