Review: American Idol winner Kris Allen excellent on ‘Waves’ music video (Includes first-hand account)

The video for “Waves” was directed, filmed and edited by Matthew DeLisi, and it is set near a swimming pool. It is the lead single from his newest studio effort. Allen wrote the tune while he was on a flight, and it was one of the older songs that he had for this album. It has a sultry vibe to it, and its lyrics are heartfelt and tender.

“She is my hurricane, and I, I am her ocean and we could make the biggest waves, cause she makes me move, she moves me,” Allen sings, in his angelic voice.
