Review: American Idol’s Kris Allen back with new single ‘Waves’ (Includes first-hand account)

“She is my hurricane, and I am her ocean, and we make the biggest waves, cause she makes me move, she moves me,” Allen sings, in the chorus of “Waves.”

“Waves” is one of his best singles to date, and it is radio-friendly. It is warm, captivating and the quintessential love song that his female fans would want sung to them. The Arkansas native is not afraid to display his soft side, and it shows. Fans and listeners can check out “Waves” on iTunes by clicking here.

On April 18, Allen will be performing a show at Gramercy Theatre in New York City.

The Verdict

Overall, Kris Allen is back stronger than ever on his new single “Waves.” It is sultry, infectious, and it features his rich, atmospheric voice. This new tune is a substantial indication that his upcoming studio album Letting You In is promising. Knowing Allen and his track record, one could not expect anything less. “Waves” garners an A rating.
