Remembering Christina Grimmie (1994-2016)

She was murdered at a concert meet and greet in Orlando, Florida, while she was on tour with Before You Exit. Most recently, they performed at Gramercy Theatre in New York City, on May 31.

A New Jersey native, Grimmie was always able to impress her audiences, whether they are on “The Voice,” or via her YouTube channel, where she would cover well-known hits by other artists, and do all of them justice, if not better than the original recordings, such as Adele’s “Hello” and Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper.”

This Digital Journalist has been afforded the privilege to get to know Grimmie and follow her career from the very start, and can personally attest that Grimmie had a warm and bubbly personality, who was always gracious for the love and support that she received from her fans, family members and followers. As an artist, she always put the music first, and it was about quality and recording songs that were meaningful to people.

A video clip of her final performance may be seen below.

May Christina Grimmie RIP.

A Go Fund Me campaign has been created in an effort to help her family, which may be seen by clicking here.
