Kelsea Ballerini strikes gold with ‘Love Me Like You Mean It’

“Love Me Like You Mean It” has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), for sales in excess of 500,000 units in the United States.

In the meantime, Ballerini’s sophomore single “Dibs” is already in the Top 30 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, and climbing, after charting for only seven weeks.

Most impressive about Ballerini is that she is the first female solo artist in nine years to hit No. 1 with her debut country single, and she is one of only 11 women to have ever hit the top of the charts with a breakthrough single. “Dibs” and “Love Me Like You Mean It” are both featured on her album, The First Time, which was released on Black River Entertainment.
