According to Billboard Magazine, Hymns entered at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 all-genre charts, and it sold 70,000 copies, where 68,000 units were in pure album sales. This marks a career high week for Joey + Rory, as well as their first Top 10 album on the Billboard 200 charts. It was released on Feb. 12 through the husband and wife duo’s own Farmhouse Recordings label.
Hymns topped the Billboard Top County Albums charts, as well as the Billboard Top Christian Albums charts, with the duo’s best sales week ever. Their album garnered a rave review from Digital Journal.
In April of 2016, Joey + Rory will be vying for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) “Vocal Duo of the Year” award. They were nominated for a 2016 Grammy award for their version of “If I Needed You.”
