Jess Moskaluke talks 2015 CCMA nods and ‘Kiss Me Quiet’ EP (Includes interview)

At this year’s Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) awards, Moskaluke is in the running in three categories, including “Single of the Year” for “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes,” “Album of the Year” for Light Up The Night, as well as the prestigious “Female Artist of the Year.” “That felt wonderful. That is always a nice surprise,” she said with a sweet laugh. “That is very good recognition when something like that happens. I am looking forward to the CCMA awards in a few weeks.”

Earlier this year, Moskaluke had the pleasure to tour with Canadian country singers Chad Brownlee and Bobby Wills. “The tour was amazing. We saw so much of the country and we got to play for so many wonderful fans. We had a blast,” she said.

This fall, Moskaluke will be embarking on an arena tour with fellow Canadian country superstars Dean Brody and Paul Brandt. “I am very excited. The fans will hear a couple of new tunes from myself. I know that Paul and Dean put on nothing short of a fantastic show, so it’s going to be a lot of fun,” she said.

Her upcoming EP Kiss Me Quiet will be out on September 25. “The first single is also called “Kiss Me Quiet” and it is coming out very shortly as well. I am very excited. It is an upbeat and real fun collection of six songs. I am excited to have fresh material out there,” she said.
