Fricke is a two-time winner of the prestigious “Female Vocalist of the Year” award by the Country Music Association (CMA), as well as a three-time Grammy nominee. She made Digital Journal’s list of “5 Overdue Female Artists for Country Music Hall of Fame induction.”
The Janie Fricke Collection is a line of fine home accents, whose fabrics are selected and cut by Fricke herself to create unique designs. She was inspired to sew thanks to her mother and grandmother. It is a specialized high-end brand of products and it features decorative pillows, throws, table runners and seasonal items. It is carried in specialty boutiques around the country, and it is showcased in the Dallas, Texas, showroom Touch of France, located in the Dallas World Trade Center. These items are available on Fricke’s official website for retail and wholesale market buyers.
Fricke grew up on a farm in Indiana, where she began singing in her church choir, prior to becoming one of the music industry’s most sought-after background vocalists. The public had become acquainted with her voice through ads for Coca-Cola, 7-Up, Red Lobster and the United Airlines. She has recorded duets with such acclaimed country artists as Merle Haggard and Moe Bandy, and she has been a part of over 1,600 albums, as well as 36 hit singles to her credit.
