Interview: The Swon Brothers talk new album, future plans (Includes interview)

The Swon Brothers is comprised of brothers Colton and Zach Swon. They rose to stardom thanks to The Voice, where they were on Team Blake.

On performing at Mulcahy’s, Colton said, “It’s awesome, man. We’ve been looking forward to this. It’s nice to get off the road and do venues like this. There are perks to both sides: doing arenas with Carrie on her tour, but you get a little more closer to the fans in a venue like Mulcahy’s. It’s going to be cool.”

Zach noted that they would be playing songs from their new EP Timeless, as well as songs from their old album, and a few surprises. “We just like to have fun on a night like this. We get to do what we want,” Zach said.

Colton listed country superstar Carrie Underwood as his dream female duet choice, while Zach picked Dolly Parton.

The duo will be touring extensively this year and they are working on new material. “We are writing a lot. The immediate plan is to get another EP ready for the second half of the year,” Zach said.

For their fans, they concluded, “Thank you and we love you.”
