Interview: Actress and singer Alyson Stoner talks ‘Woman’ single (Includes interview)

Regarding her new dance song, “Woman,” she said, “It is finally out. It has taken a year and a half but we are finally there. It has live instrumentation, which you don’t hear on the radio very often. It is rhythmic, it’s percussive and it’s vibrant and that really is my authentic fingerprint.”

She collaborated with American Idol alum Blake Lewis on the a cappella tribute video. “He’s wonderful and we did entire vocal arrangement for SoulPancake, and he is so talented,” she said, praising Lewis.

For the rest of the year, she hopes to release her EP, as well as other songs and videos. This summer, Stoner is a part of a dark comedy and romantic action adventure. “It’s a great year to reveal more of my sincere transformation and development, and these projects reflect that,” she said.
