Catching up with pop singer Alana Lee (Includes interview)

She shared that she has been busy with her academics, and that she just finished her pageant. “I have been applying to colleges,” she said.

Her inspirational song “Dream Out Loud” has been well-received by her fans, music critics, and listeners. “That was unexpected and really awesome, to get all that buzz and publicity on it,” she said.

Last year, Lee took home the honor of “Miss Placentia Outstanding Teen.” “It was a pageant that I did, so it was really awesome to go to all the different events, and to be able to get more in touch with the community, and do some community service. It was really awesome,” she said.

In Digital Journal’s previous interview with Alana Lee from November of 2013, she had listed country star Hunter Hayes as her dream male duet choice. While this dream has yet to be fulfilled, the songstress paid homage to Hayes, by covering his hit single “I Want Crazy” on her YouTube channel.

She also tipped her hat to such pop mega-stars as Taylor Swift and Katy Perry on her YouTube page, as well as the band Kings of Leon.

Over the years, her fan-base has increased substantially on her social networks, and rightfully so. “I like to post a lot of things and keep the fans updated with what I am doing. I like giving my fans advice and encouragement,” she said.

For elementary students who wish to pursue music professionally, she said, “Keep on practicing whatever you want to go into, and to always be promoting yourself, especially when the time comes to present your skills, in order to take your career to the next level,” she said.
