Video: ‘Dead or Alive 5 — Last Round’ launch trailer

Koei Tecmo has streamed the official launch trailer for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, the final enhancement to Dead or Alive 5, scheduled to release in North America on February 17 and Europe on February 20.

PC players will have to wait until March 30th.

The trailer is nothing new as it introduces the entire cast of playable characters, which includes new characters from the previous enhanced versions and the Virtua Fighter 5 guest characters. It also introduces the two newcomers: Honoka and Raidou.

Raidou is not necessarily a newcomer, but he has been gone from the series for a long time.

Honoka is the official newcomer to the series as Koei Tecmo has painted her as a normal girl that possesses a mysterious power.

The game also features new character costumes to the Dead or Alive 5: Last Round game play experience.

You can look forward to receiving this game on those dates for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4 consoles.

The March 30th PC release will be available through Steam as the service justifies the relayed release date to give users the “best game play experience.” If you already have Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate, the data from that game will transfer over.

Xbox One users will be able to purchase the “Core Version” of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on the launch date for two weeks at $5 before reverting to the original price of $9. This version will only give players four characters to choose from and cannot be upgraded.

Team Ninja has also given a warning to game modders to remain “respectful” to the game. It has threatened to halt future PC releases if modders continue “degrading” the game by making mods that make characters naked and anything else that is “immoral.”
