Episode 15 of Log Horizon 2, titled “A New Journey,” is currently streaming on Crunchyroll for paid members. If you are a free member, you can watch “A New Journey” six days from now. This episode goes back to the Japan server where members of the titular Log Horizon have decided to put on a musical performance.
I was looking forward to watching more of Kanami’s journey through the China server.
The thought of Rundelhaus, a Person of the Land, was interesting as he was the first to actually join a guild let alone Log Horizon.
That paled in comparison to Kanami’s small, but powerful four-person party. She and Leonardo are the only two human players, while Coppelia is an illegal game bot and Erius is a famous NPC in the game that all players are trapped inside.
It felt refreshing to see Isuzu use her bard skills to sing in front of people, but made me curious about Tohya’s sub-class because he was playing in the background for her.
I love how Rundelhaus gets dramatic when he tries to impress Isuzu.
On a serious note, I felt Isuzu’s emotions when she lamented her life in the real world. I was surprised that her father was a professional musical, but considered herself to be average compared to her more talented friend.
At least I know how Tohya was able to effectively play drums.
I was happy to see Tetra again, who was hiding underneath Naotsugu’s shirt without him even knowing it. Seeing Tetra in any episode puts a smile on my face because it’s a dude in real life, but a chick in the game world.
“A New Journey” was very enjoyable to watch because I was wondering when the series would focus on the other members of Log Horizon. The first half of this series centered on Akatsuki tracking down a mysterious serial killer and Shiroe leading a month-long raid in one of the most dangerous dungeons.
This episode feels refreshing and is a great way to start a new adventure.
