Review: Chris Hardwick puts on best comedy show of 2016 so far

Hardwick was able to interact well with The Paramount audience, and he kept his entire comedic routine spontaneous and unscripted, which was an added bonus. He asked the crowd what their different occupations were, and noted that they were far more interesting than the ones he had heard the previous night in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

He was open about his personal life with his fiancee Lydia and shared what different kinds of animals each of them like. He noted that he has been sober for 13 years now, as he gently declined an audience member’s request to buy him whiskey. During his comedic show, it felt relaxed and he was able to make the audience feel comfortable, as he invited a question and answer session with the public. Most impressive was the fact that his show ended with a marriage proposal from one fan to his girlfriend. The fan shared that he had contacted Hardwick several months ago via his social networks to help make this a reality, and by pure luck, it happened as it was meant to happen.

In Chris Hardwick’s live comedy show at The Paramount, there is something in it for everybody. He proved to be a dynamic, fun and charismatic comedian, and one of the Top 3 that his journalist has had the privilege of seeing live.
