This will be a tour stop on his “Don’t Take It Personal” tour. Aside from being a stand-up comedian, Epps is a multi-faceted entertainer since he is an actor, film producer, writer and rapper.
He got in big break when he performed on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, as well as for his screen performances in Next Friday, Talk to Me and All About the Benjamins.
Epps was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and he was one of nine kids to a single mother. He discovered his comedic talent early on in life. He would later be a regular comic at the Comedy Act Theater. Thanks to his successes, he was able to move to “The Big Apple,” where he was picked up by Def Comedy Jam.
In 2001, Epps voiced the role of Sonny in the family comedy Dr. Dolittle 2, and in 2006, he was part of the romance Something New.
Most recently, Epps released two stand-up DVDs in 2009 and he starred in the comedy, The Hangover, that was a high-grossing and successful film.
He will star as Uncle Buck on ABC this spring and he is also on Starz’s Survivors Remorse. Also, Epps will play Richard Pryor this spring in the Lee Daniels film.
