Hilton’s website is one of the most popular blogs on the Internet, and he has almost six million followers on Twitter. Hilton is the “go-to” person for all celebrity news.
When asked about what he loves most about the entertainment industry and pop culture, Hilton said, “With my job, I love that no day is like the last. I compare it to surfing. If you love to surf, then every day is a blast! Some days you have big waves. Some days you have small waves. It’s about enjoying the ride and improving your technique along the way.”
Regarding his plans for the future, he said, “I believe in putting out into the universe that which you want! Personally, I’d love a husband! And, professionally, I’d love to do something on television. What that would look like, I’m very open.”
Each day, Hilton is motivated simply by his love for what he does for a living, as well as “having two children to financially support.”
His biggest influences in life include “The Queen of Pop” Madonna, Oprah and Angelina Jolie. “That is my holy trinity,” Hilton said.
For Hilton, the hardest part of his job as a celebrity blogger, involves the long hours. “I’m always on,” he said.
His proudest professional moments include being able to employ his mother and sister, thus making his business a “real family-run organization.” “Everybody wins,” he said.
For aspiring bloggers and columnists, he underscored that they need to have a really strong work ethic. “You have to work harder than everyone else you know! It’s an all-consuming job,” he said.
Hilton defined the word “success” as “Waking up every morning and looking forward to going to work and then looking forward to going home. Having a happy professional and personal life,” he said.
For his fans, he concluded, “I am so humbled that 11 years later I’m still around. So thank you! I hope to continue to entertain people for at least 11 more – and hopefully until I die! It’s not work if you love what you do!”
