Palin assault details
The arraignment of Track Palin on Tuesday came the same day his mother made headlines by endorsing Donald Trump in the Republican race for the nomination for President. According to documents filed in a Wasilla court, Palin, 26, oldest of the five children of Sarah and Todd Palin, was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle.
His girlfriend told police she feared Palin might shoot himself.
She also said Palin punched her in the face and kicked her in the knee. “An investigation revealed Track Palin had committed a domestic violence assault on a female (note: alleged),” a police statement said. “Interfered with her ability to report a crime of domestic violence and possessed a firearm while intoxicated.”
He was arrested on charges of domestic abuse and possession of a firearm while drunk and arraigned on Tuesday, though it is unclear if he has entered a plea as yet. The arresting officer said he had to handcuff Palin because when he approached him he behaved in a hostile manner.

The Globe and Mail newspaper in Canada tried to get a comment from the Palin family but were unable to. They contacted the family’s lawyer, John Tiemessen, via email and he told reporter Rachel D’Oro the family’s privacy should be respected “as Track receives the help that he and many of our returning veterans need.”
Track served one year in Iraq.
The Palin family were involved in a brawl at an outdoor party in Wasilla in September of 2014, with Track fighting a former boyfriend of his sister, Willow.
Another sister of Track’s, Bristol Palin, is alleged to have punched a male in the face six times during the brawl and the family was asked to leave the party. No charges were laid but one guest said all the Palin’s were involved.
“We thought we were watching an episode of Jerry Springer,” guest Eric Thompson said at the time.
