Police officer’s wife stages robbery, blames Black Lives Matter

Maria Daly reported that someone broke into her home on October 17, but officers grew suspicious during the investigation into the incident. Eventually, Daly admitted to making up the incident.

When she reported the incident, she claimed the perpetrator stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and sprayed painted “BLM” (Black Lives Matter) on the outside of her home. Daly not only admitted to staging the robbery, but she said she still had the jewelry she reported missing.

Donald Desorcy, chief of the Millbury Police Department, said something wasn’t quite right. He said it was obvious that something wasn’t right, and they came to the conclusion no burglary took place, nor was there an intruder.

After she reported the “crime” to police, Daly posted on Facebook about how she and her husband woke up to their home being robbed while they were sleeping. She added that her response would be positive if she was asked yesterday about the issue surrounding blue lives and black lives matter. She continued to say that she was filled with anger and hate.

Daly’s husband was not part of the fake crime and he has not been arrested or charged with anything. However, Mrs. Daly is not facing charges of filing a false police report and misleading a police investigation. Financial problems may have been behind the motive for the staged burglary.
