Stave Lake is a place within easy reach from Greater Vancouver area. Nice scenery and beautiful location between the mountains makes a perfect spot for weekend get away. With seasonal changes of the lake’s water level, it can be either perfect place for water sport (at high water level) and motor sports (at low water level) activity. This time of the year, Stave Lake looks like a seasonal jamboree for the enthusiasts of motor sports in their different forms.

All wheel drive trucks, covered with mud in the most imaginable patterns, motocross bikes, quads of different forms, makes and monstrous looking custom made by their inventors as well as smaller vehicles for the younger enthusiasts of motor sport, all of them seemed to have their own get together on brown and muddy fields of Stave Lake.

Families with full BBQ and camping equipment, ready to camp out for more than just one night, arranged and make shift parties (sometimes helping each other getting out of the half liquid stuff that stopped the vehicles from moving further) and proud dads teaching their kids all the secrets and tricks of driving in mud dominated all Saturday. It was really hard to get a silent spot along the lake busy with people, their vehicles running back and forth with high speed in clouds of dust.
